Classic rock ‘n roll fans throughout North America are excited about the recent news that Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band will be picking up where they left off after the talented star sustained an injury that forced him to postpone his late-2017 tour dates until late-2018. The anticipation is building, and tens of thousands of fans who have seen Seger perform live throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s now have the golden opportunity to see him do so again this year.
Bob Seger had scheduled a 32-date North American tour in the last months of 2017. He was not only Like a Rock, he was Still the Same Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man up until the day of September 30, when he woke up with numbness in his left leg. His doctor told him it was the result of slightly fractured vertebrae he sustained earlier in the year, and the health authority told the legendary rock ‘n roller to immediately cancel the rest of this tour dates.
Bob Seger Tour 2018-19
Thankfully, they have been rescheduled for the upcoming Bob Seger 2018 Tour, which will resume on November 24 of this year with a huge show at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. From there, the living legend will play the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa on November 27 and the Scottrade Arena in St. Louis on November 30.
The theme of huge shows in huge venues continues in St. Paul on December 12, and in Chicago on December 14 with a huge show at the Allstate Arena. Greenville, South Carolina will be visited about a week later before a concert at the Infinite Energy Arena in Atlanta on the evening of December 22. Seger and his group will then take a break from the Bob Seger Tour for the holidays before resuming on January 19, with a gigantic show the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
The Silver Bullet Band was formed all the way back in 1974, when times were much simpler for music fans and everyone else. During this magical and memorable era, people would make a beeline to the most popular record store in town right after work in order to purchase albums such as Seger’s Beautiful Loser in 1975 and his Night Moves in 1976. Against the Wind came in 1980, truly establishing the Detroit-born rock stalwart as one of the greatest musicians of his era. Like many during his time, he has demonstrated and agelessness while he continues to crank out his hits on live tours.
When Bob Seger Against The Wind is played during live shows, it will truly have a new meaning. The man was running against the wind as he dealt with health issues throughout the final months of 2017 and the first of 2018, but he is now ready to Turn the Page and play his classic Old Time Rock and Roll to sold-out-out audiences who purchase Bob Seger 2018 Tour Tickets.
