Korean pop sensations BTS recently announced another leg to their highly successful 2018-19 World Tour. The group comprised of young superstars was the most posted about on social media in all of 2017 and 2018, and hundreds of thousands of fans throughout North America are anxious about the opportunity to see them in huge venues. Tickets are currently available to the general public on a first-come, first-served basis to each of the upcoming BTS 2019 Concerts.
Although some younger fans may think that BTS founded the concept of a boy band, the idea of a collection of twentysomethings with solid dancing skills and singing skills is nothing new. New Kids On The Block were essentially the world’s first mega-popular boy band, and they introduced the genre to America and beyond in the late 80s. Fast-forward a few decades, and BTS was founded in Korea in 2010. They slowly yet steadily garnered a fan base in South Korea and nearby countries, but it wasn’t until the last few years that they truly exploded.
Love Yourself: Speak Yourself
In April of last year, a company known as Big Hit Entertainment posted an official preview-announcement regarding the upcoming Love Yourself World Tour. The fun began with two consecutive late-August shows in South Korea at the famous Seoul Olympic Stadium, which was built to host the Olympic Games in 1992. A sold-out crowd of 90,000 watched the band work a set list featuring all of their chart-topping songs to a crowd featuring many fans who had been with them from day one. Leg 2 took them to North America beginning in September of last year, where they staged gigantic shows at the Staples Center, Oracle Arena, Canada’s First Ontario Centre, Chicago’s United Center, and a few other major destinations.
The announcement in the last few days involves Leg 1 of the Love Yourself: Speak Yourself Tour. A total of six additional shows have been added in three gigantic outdoor fields and stadiums spanning coast to coast. The first shows will take place on May 4 and May 5 in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The historic structure dates back to the early decades of the 20th century, and it has been steeped in tradition ever since. Although it is not the most modern venue in Southern California, it is perhaps the most popular. The single-level bowl-shaped stadium primarily designed to host football and soccer is located at 1001 Rose Bowl Drive and has a capacity of almost 93,000. Every seat is sure to be full at the building initially opened to the public in late-October 1922 when BTS takes to the stage in early-May. An array of affordable BTS Rose Bowl Tickets are available now.
The next two dates will be huge shows on May 11 and May 12 in Chicago’s Soldier Field. The group played The Windy City in the aforementioned venue last year, so these tickets are expected to be especially popular. Soldier Field is also a relic of American sporting entertainment history, located within a stone’s throw of the lapping shores of Lake Michigan. Amazingly, it was built during the same time as Pasadena’s Rose Bowl, and opened to the public a few years later in October of 1924.
North American Shows
East Rutherford, New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium will be the site of BTS shows on the evenings of May 18 and May 19. The gigantic multi-tiered Stadium was completed just a handful of years ago with the intentions of hosting the NFL’s New York Giants and New York Jets, as well as some of the biggest names in music. BTS has quickly become just that, and any group that can sell out MetLife Stadium is officially in the upper echelon of the music industry. The rise was well-earned as a result of genuine talent and hard work, and a total of six studio albums spanning the Korean language and the Japanese language give the group plenty of options while putting together a set list for the recently-announced shows. The set list for previous shows that has been recorded and posted by passionate fans has some moving parts, but it ended up averaging a whopping total of 27 songs in its entirety.
Tickets and Dates
There is a very realistic chance that additional legs of this tour are going to be added, featuring a slew of additional North American tour dates. When those are announced, we will be among the first to make tickets available. But anyone living in or around Los Angeles, Chicago or New York who is interested in witnessing one or more of the upcoming shows live would be wise to make their move to purchase surprisingly affordable BTS 2019 Tickets sooner rather than later. The Korean pop sensation is going to make 2019 their biggest year ever. Now is the perfect opportunity to get in on the action.
