Dave Matthews

The mere mention of Dave Matthews Band sends comfortable vibes and great memories through the bodies and minds of fans dating back to the 90s. Dave Matthews was truly a folk icon around the turn of the century, and he has used the last 20 years to deeply carve out his niche in the folk music world. His fans regard him as the single greatest and most important musician in the modern era, and the popularity of his tickets as well as his abundance of tour dates further enforces the notion.

These days, musicians cannot easily generate millions of dollars by way of album sales, because the Internet has become a bit of the Wild West in that regard, and record stores that sell albums by the hundreds per day no longer exist outside of a few historic and iconic ones. So taking to the road is the logical approach for many groups, and none are more prepared to do this than the Dave Matthews Band.

While working as a bartender in Virginia in the early 1990s, Dave Matthews showed serious talents as a musician, but also an extreme hesitancy to actually make a move and take to the stage. A lawyer friend of his convinced him to record a demo, which got in the hands of the right people. He was soon being introduced to an array of amazing artists, whom he tapped to create the original versions of Dave Matthews Band. They created a sound and live show unlike anything seen before, merging folk rock with jazz and instrumental elements that entertained the fans in dive bars.

Growing Fan Base

Dave Matthews Band Tickets became very popular soon, and they headlined an abundance of festivals and other music-based events in the late 90s while essentially being the “It” band. Their CDs spun in college dorms throughout North America during this comfortable time. Many who experienced DMB in their college years are ready to experience them again when they take to North American stages soon.
