Taylor Swift to Play Two Gillette Stadium Shows as Part of 2020 Festival Tour

Global music superstar Taylor Swift is at a point in her career where she essentially makes the rules. She recently created what she is calling Lover Fest East + West, and two of the performances currently scheduled for 2020 will take place at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The shows will go down on July 31 and August 1 of 2020, and Taylor Swift Gillette Stadium Tickets are available to the public now on a first-come, first-served basis.

Begging of Taylor Swift

The talented and effervescently positive musician showed some serious musical skills at a young age. By the time she was a teenager, her voice and onstage presence was powerful enough to compel her family to move from the East Coast to Nashville, Tennessee, so she could gauge her skills against some of the biggest up-and-comers in the country music business. By the time she graduated high school, it was clear that Swift was destined for greatness.

With the look of a runway model and the voice of an angel, it wasn’t hard for Swift to garner the attention of music fans and build a global audience. Her following has steadily grown over the years, to the point where nearly 90,000,000 people follow her on Twitter. She gives them what they are looking for with regular posts about her activity in the music world, as well as intimate glimpses into her heartfelt emotions and reactions to their abundance of love.

Her most recent album entitled Lover shot to the top of the Billboard music charts around the world soon after it was released about a month ago. Such has been the case for every one of her albums in the last decade plus, as Swift has a firm grip on the global pop music market that only the likes of Janet Jackson, Madonna and Whitney Houston have had in the past.

Foxboro Stadium

The tour will begin overseas in Belgium in late-June, and feature shows in Germany, Norway, France, Portugal and Brazil before she arrives on American soil in mid-July. Soon after that, she will become the first female artist in history to be the opening act at an NFL stadium when she performs two late-July shows at the currently under-construction SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

After a short break, she will make her way across the great nation for the aforementioned performances in Foxboro, Massachusetts, which will be among the biggest in the Eastern Seaboard in all of the summer of 2020.

Just 30 miles to the Southwest of the heart of Boston, Foxboro Stadium is within a relatively short drive of millions of music fans. It was opened soon after the turn-of-the-century, but even the most confident football fan could not have imagined the greatness that would go down on these now hallowed grounds in the nearly 20 years since

The New England Patriots have been the most dominating team in professional sports since the turn-of-the-century, and quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick have combined their talents on and off the field to create a true modern-day dynasty. It has made Foxboro Stadium one of the centers of the sports universe. The many concerts that have been hosted since the days after it opened have also made it an epicenter of entertainment in the coastal region of Massachusetts.

The Rolling Stones popped the top on the venue on September 5 of 2002, as part of their The Licks Tour. It was nearly another year until the next concert was held, when Metallica, Limp Bizkit, LINKIN PARK and Deftones played to a nearly sold-out audience in the summer of 2003. In the many years since, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and Toby Keith have played shows, along with many others.

Kenny Chesney has become a regular, and Taylor Swift first took to the stage in this awesome venue as part of her Fearless Tour back in early-June 2010. She played two shows as part of her Speak Now World Tour to two giant sold-out audiences in late-June 2011, and returned again for a two-show performance back in 2013. She played two Gillette Stadium shows as part of a summer tour in 2015, and three July shows last year as part of her Reputation Stadium Tour. All three July Stadium shows last year were sellouts.
