Mary Stuart Rogers Theater at Gallo Center For The Arts ticket office sales
Gallo Center for the Arts is perhaps the most impressive performing arts venue in all of the Central Valley of California. The state has long been known for what goes on in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and Sacramento, but the space between the two Southern California cities and Northern California cities is vast. Rare is the opportunity to witness a truly world-class performance go down along the stretch of cities bordered by Interstate 5 and Interstate 99. But Gallo Center is exactly that.
Its perfectly-rounded exterior is made robust by a large number of high-arching arches comprised of large window panels on the top few levels and double-doors made of glass on the ground level. Gallo Center opened back in September of 2007, and it has since hosted an array of local resident performances. This includes the Modesto Community Concerts Association, and their various annual shows, as well as the Central West Ballet, the Townsend Opera Players and the esteemed Modesto Symphony Orchestra.
Indeed, Modesto is a wonderful city growing by leaps and bounds in terms of cultural presence, aiming for that coveted fifth slot beneath the four aforementioned largest cities throughout The Golden State. The list of performers who have worked their magic inside of the impressive interior include legendary crooner Tony Bennett and widely-esteemed comedians Dana Carvey and George Lopez. Additionally, Broadway shows are staged at certain times in every calendar year.
Recently, the incredible and cutting-edge show entitled ‘Illuminate’ took place in a completely darkened theater. The unique performance featuring neon lights running the spectrum of color is truly captivating and mesmerizing. The New York Times calls it: "Spectacular! Magical! Dazzling!" A quick look at the upcoming Gallo Center schedule will further acquaint you with all of the incredible things going on in 2018.
